Naked Man Leaves Billboard Perch

After spending about four hours atop a Fort Worth billboard threatening to jump, a naked man has returned to ground level.

The man climbed up onto a billboard along the 2300 block of West 7th Street at about noon Monday, drawing stares and stopping traffic near Montgomery Plaza.  Police arrived a short time later and began trying to talk the man off the top of the billboard, where he precariously paced back and forth.

NBC’s Deborah Ferguson overheard officers talking with the man at the scene, asking him to sit down.  Ferguson said the man told police he had no family and that everyone was gone.

At about 3:30 p.m., the man came down from the top of the billboard to the platform base, and then eventually made his way down a firefighter’s ladder to the ground.

Longer T-Shirts Keep Personal Assets Covered

Tired of crouching plumbers showing you a side of themselves you’d rather not see?

A Wisconsin apparel company says it’s here to help. In an effort to protect men from being the butt of fashion jokes, Belleville-based Duluth Trading Co. has been selling T-shirts that are three inches longer than standard shirts. The so-called “Longtail T” is meant to give guys a little extra coverage in the back.

The idea seems to have caught on. Duluth Trading said it’s on pace to sell its millionth Longtail T this month.

And to show that it means no offense, the company is offering all plumbers a free Longtail T-shirt on April 25.

Belleville is in southwest Wisconsin, about 20 miles south of Madison.

Spencer Tunick Eyes Tel Aviv For Next Nude Revue

Photographer Spencer Tunick, who is famous for taking photographs of nude crowds at sites around the world, is planning to bring his project to Israel.

“He has not decided on a site yet, but when there’s a lot of press coverage, he is less likely to come somewhere,” Harry Fruchter, Tunick’s producer in Israel, told the Jerusalem Post. “He’d like to work without any outside influences. If he can’t find that kind of situation, when he comes, he will probably be less cooperative.”

Should he confirm plans to work in Israel, reports say likely sites Tunick might chose are Tel Aviv or the Dead Sea. Israel’s Tourism Ministry and the Tel Aviv Municipality appeared excited at the prospect of a Tunick visit, calling it good for the image of the country and the city. However, from the floor of the Knesset, religious lawmakers blasted the idea. Some said a photo of a mass of nude Jews would be reminiscent of the Holocaust. Others called it prostitution.

Tunick recently photographed 5,200 nude Australians on the steps of the Sydney Opera House, one of 75 locations at which he has taken nude photos of crowds. “Ohio 1,” his 2004 photo of hundreds of naked Clevelanders outside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, hangs in the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Orders Nude Tapes Burned

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a presidential ordinance instructing the commanders of the Palestinian security establishment to burn tapes containing images and footage of nude Palestinian officials in “embarrassing postures and situations.”

The objective of the ordinance is to thwart blackmailing attempts of Abbas’ bureau head Rafiq al-Husseini, following the “sex tape” scandal in which he was involved, according to the London-based Arabic-language al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper.

The controversial tape was aired last month, showing al-Husseini naked in a Jerusalem house while fondling his secretary.

Former senior figure in the Palestinian General Intelligence Service Fahmi Shabaneh, who exposed the affair, said al-Husseini tried to sexually exploit a Palestinian woman that asked him for employment. Al-Husseini claimed he fell victim to an extortion attempt orchestrated by members of the General Intelligence Service.

Women Hold March For Equal Opportunity Toplessness

About two dozen women drew a crowd of onlookers when they shed their shirts and marched downtown in Maine’s largest city to promote what they call equal-opportunity public toplessness.

Organizer Ty MacDowell said the point of Saturday’s march in Portland was that a topless woman out in public shouldn’t attract any more attention than a man who walks around without a shirt.

The Portland Press Herald reports that by the end of the march, more than 500 people had amassed — a mix of marchers, young men snapping photos, oglers and people just out enjoying a sunny, warm day.

It’s not illegal for a woman to be topless in public in Maine, and police said there were no incidents or arrests.

Unpaid Flight Attendants Strip In Protest

Flight attendants owed up to nine months’ wages by a grounded Spanish airline have posed nude for a calendar to draw attention to their plight, one of the cabin crew turned models said.

A flight attendant posing nude in a calendar picture is seen ...

The calendar, numerous excerpts of which appeared in the Spanish media, shows the Air Comet attendants, all female, posing provocatively in and outside airline cabins, and in one case on top of a jet turbine.

“We are just demanding our rights to receive what is ours, we each have eight or nine months of unpaid salaries,” attendant Adriana Ricardo, who appears in the calendar, told Reuters.

Air Comet, run by the embattled chairman of Spain’s main employers’ association CEOE, Gerardo Ferran, filed for administration in December after a British court impounded nine of its aircraft at the request of German bank HSH Nordbank.

Man Blames Boredom For Streaking

A man who has been charged with making a naked dash through a Tennessee supermarket told police he was “bored and didn’t have anything else to do.”

The Kingsport Times-News reports that a man entered an IGA store Friday night, wearing nothing but a face mask, and ran around the aisles.

A police report says officers found the suspect in the bathroom of a nearby Hardee’s restaurant. Employees say he entered the fast food outlet wearing nothing but an orange hooded sweat shirt and asked if anyone could lend him clothes. An employee gave him a pair of athletic shorts.

Kingsport police arrested 22-year-old Daniel R. Lee of Church Hill and have charged him with indecent exposure.

Kentucky Senate Approves New Nude Dancing Rules

The Kentucky Senate passed a bill to put restrictions on nude dancing operations that would keep the dancers a specified distance away from patrons.

The measure would require that the dancers be at least six feet away from patrons, and that the dancers perform on an elevated platform.

The provisions were attached by a Senate committee to a House-passed bill that dealt with the state’s theft by deception law.  The revised bill passed the full Senate later in the day.

The bill now returns to the House, which will consider the changes made by the Senate.

Jesse James Offered Half A Million To Pose Nude For Playgirl

Jesse James, who allegedly cheated on Sandra Bullock, has been offered half a million dollars to appear nude for Playgirl.

According to E! Online, James, 40, is the latest name to be approached by the mag in recent months.

“We”ll offer him 500,000 dollars to pose in a Coney Island freak show setting,” Playgirl rep Daniel Nardicio confirmed. “We”d do a whole circus-themed freak show, with tattooed men and sword swallowers!”

If James agrees to appear in the buff, he will be following in the footsteps of Levi Johnston, the baby daddy of Sarah Palin’s grandson, reports The New York Daily News.

Meanwhile, Brigitte Daguerre, a photographer in Los Angeles, is the third woman to come forward in recent days claiming having a fling with James.

Bullock and James” marriage was first shattered last week when In Touch magazine featured an interview with Michelle (Bombshell) McGee, a tattooed model who claimed to have an 11-month affair with James.
