Woodbury Commons Just Keeps on Growing

For anyone who hasn’t gone to Woodbury Commons lately – go.  The outlet center just keeps on growing and the shopping gets better every visit.

Among the real outlets are:  Tommy Bahama, where $110 shirts can be had for $25. Timberland, where wool sweaters run anywhere from $20 to $30 bucks. The sports outlets – Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Puma. They all offer great deals on sneakers and exercise clothes.

Stay away from the Gap outlet which is filled with products made just for the outlet and the Polo outlet, while very large is usually hit or miss and also contains outlet only merchandise. If you’re looking for a crate or a barrel – then don’t bother going to Crate & Barrel – they don’t carry either item.

Parking is always a problem so be sure to get there early or you’re going to be wasting a lot of time looking for a spot.

  1. You are correct that some of the merchandise at some of the retailers are made specifically for the outlet stores, however, that is not necessarily a bad thing. They are not cheap “knock offs” of better products just products more geared to the outlet marketplace. You probably wont find any expensive premium items there but you will get good bargains on products directly from the brand name manufacturer. I’m not an expert shopper or anything but I don have inside information.

    • Good point about the quality – shoppers just need to know that they’re getting mechandise created just for the outlet (especially at the Gap).

  2. I love Woodbury Commons, but it’s really hard to find a good parking spot, because it’s so crowded. I worry now that after all of The Daily Andy’s fans read about it, the parking spots will be even more difficult to find.

    • In May there is going tp be a Daily Andy day at the commons.

  3. I Love your blog!!! I am writing this comment to let you know that in going through the blogs tonight, that yours was amazing and caught my eye!! 4. Does the Daily Andy have an online store that sells Daily Andy merchandise? I collect T-shirts, and I would love to have a “Daily Andy” T-shirt. (By the way, my son’s name is Andy.)

    • Not yet….

  5. No trip – it was just a joke in response to an earlier comment – but go, it’s a great place.
